On Monday we were delighted to get off the mark with INSTANT KARMA who won in fantastic style at Pontefract. Always kept handy, he never looked in any danger once getting to the front. He was clearly at home in the ground and someone just could pick up a bargain at the Horses in Training Sales next week. At Windsor we had declared NAM HAI in the amateur rider’s race. Held up towards the rear he made steady progress coming up against the near side rail in the straight. He battled on, but could fin no more. He is a progressive horse and is another that is being offered next week. In fact we look to have a very exciting draft at the sales this year.

We have had no runners so far this week and then we return to the action on Thursday where HALA HALA and CHATHAM HOUSE RULE take their chances at Kempton. HALA HALA is certainly capable of winning more races and hopefully she will prove competitive here. CHATHAM HOUSE RULE has been unlucky with niggley little problems keeping him from showing his best. He looks in terrific form and should hopefully do himself justice.

On Friday we have declared a nice two year old making his racecourse debut at Doncaster. His half brother sold impressively a fortnight ago at the yearling sales and he certainly looks to be improving. We hope he will make into a nice horse for next season and the signs are certainly encouraging. Later on the card RAVEN RIDGE is looking for a change of fortune and he is certainly a horse who holds ability. He deserves to get a win under his belt before he heads into the Horses in Training Sales on Monday. At Newbury THATCHEREEN takes her chance. She has progressed well this season and after being freshened up we hope she will get competitive in this company.
