Sunday 5th October

October 5, 2014

On Wednesday we had declared MEZAJY a runner at Newcastle. He was stepping up in trip on this his second start. He certainly looked to have improved from his debut, but did not quite see this stiffer trip out. He should improve with time and looks as though he is a nice prospect for next season.

On Friday we started the afternoon off at Saint-Cloud with JARGON who gave a promising display in this conditions race. Close up in third he was soon chasing the leaders. He kept on well in the final furlong, but could make no impression on the winner. At Ascot we were delighted with the effort shown by BIG ORANGE. He tracked the leaders and led over two furlongs out. He was joined and driven over one furlong out. He battled on well, but just held on. He is a tough individual who always gives his all and was given a lovely ride by Tom Queally. At Wolverhampton VALEN proved disappointing. She chased the leaders and was ridden over two furlongs out. She weakened over one furlong out and never got competitive. It was a below par performance and we will see how she is before making further plans.

Yesterday at Newmarket THUNDER IN MYHEART ran with some credit. Held up in last pair she was ridden over two furlongs out. She had no chance with the leaders, but plugged on to snatch fourth near the finish. Our last runner was at Wolverhampton where JAYEFF HERRING. He was held up and made some headway under pressure over one furlong out. He never appeared to be travelling and soon weakened.

Tomorrow we have declared STONE ROSES at Windsor. She worked nicely yesterday and hopefully will give a good account of herself. She certainly has shown more on the gallops than she has shown on the track so far.

On Tuesday NAM HAI takes his chance at Leicester. He has looked in good form since his return to work and looks in good shape for a backend campaign. In the evening AROUSAL heads to Kempton where we are hoping the first time visor will bring about some improvement for her to be competitive. She is capable of winning races and hopefully she will be competitive here.

Today the horses worked on the watered gallop

Neymar and My Strategy (white cap)
