On Sunday we started the afternoon off at Goodwood with SONAR. He dwelt at the start and was well in the rear He was soon pushed along when weakening over one furlong out. Later on the card SPIRITOFTHEUNION ran no sort of race on her handicap debut. She was first off the bridle and was last when hampered. She is better than this and did not take to the track. At Yarmouth we started the afternoon of with TOUCHLINE. She got away smartly and kept on really well. The win never looked in doubt and it was great to see her get her head in front. She is a nice filly and we will see how she taken the race before making further plans. Later on the card ZACYNTHUS chased the leaders. He was asked for effort two furlongs out and was unable to quicken. He was short of room, but had no chance with winner and looked one paced in the final furlong We ended the day with SILVER MIRAGE. She took a keen hold when chasing the chased leaders. She had every chance when ridden two furlongs out, but was beaten entering the final furlong.

We started Bank Holiday Monday off at Newcastle where BERLAND made his re-appearance after his Catterick win. Held up, he made some steady headway to the halfway stage of the race. He was asked for his effort and kept on at the same pace inside the final furlong. He looks as though a drop back to seven may just suit him or a mile on an easier track. HALA HALA was unlucky not to get off the mark later on the card. She raced in touch when ridden and was switched right over one furlong out. She chased the winner inside final furlong, but had left her run too late. At Epsom we started the afternoon off with HYPERLINK. He chased the leaders to the halfway stage before weakening with four left to run. Sadly the rain had come at the wrong time for him turning the ground to heavy and he failed to act on this. Later on the card RAVEN RIDGE would probably have done better with a stronger gallop as he was slightly outpaced when the principals picked up. He was keeping on at the finish and on the evidence you would have to say he would be better suited by a bit further.

Yesterday our only runner was MISSISSIPPI QUEEN at Wolverhampton. Held up towards the rear she made some good headway at the halfway stage of the race. She was soon ridden and weakened over a furlong from home.
On Tuesday we have declared MISSISSIPPI QUEEN at Wolverhampton. She did not show a lot on her first start but appears to have improved for that run and hopefully she will show that improvement here.

Today we have seen winner number 34 go in at Catterick and that came by the way of GALIZZI. He was given a fantastic ride by Kieran Fallon, who produced him late and he got up to win nicely. He is a horse with masses of ability and hopefully he can keep going now on this upward curve.

We have a blank day tomorrow and then on Friday we head to Sandown where TARANDO takes her chance. She gets into the race with bottom weight and although it looks a tough little contest we expect her to give a good account of herself. In the evening we head to Wolverhampton with JAYEFF HERRING. Hopefully he can be competitive in this apprentice handicap.
