FRIDAY 30TH APRIL

Well we hit the unlucky thirteen winner mark on Wednesday at Kempton when ACTIVATE won at the evening meeting at the track. In the five runner field he was settled at the rear of the field and when asked to quicken he came with his challenge and managed to get his head in front by a whisker. He was given a good strong ride and he looks to be a nice horse. He has taken the race well and we will see how the handicapper assesses him before making further plans for him. Earlier on the card MAIN SPRING ran a bit better finishing mid division and hopefully she will now after having her third run be put on a realistic mark for handicaps.

On Thursday we had a very important visitor to the yard when the Queen came to see her horses both on the gallops and in the yard. It is great to meet her and she is just so amazing and genuinely loves her horses and watching them in action which cannot be easy with her schedule and commitments.

Apart from that excitement on Thursday, the past couple of days have been really quiet with no runners, but we look to have a busy weekend with three runners tomorrow at Newmarket and then on Sunday we again have three runners  on the Rowley Mile and possibly two at Salisbury. On Saturday HORSERADISH is our first runner down here and the rain that is forecast would certainly help his chances. He has been in great form since his win at Yarmouth and we think he will run well here. Later on the card we have WIGMORE HALL who was an impressive winner at the Craven meeting. He is another who has looked impressive in his work since his run and I think he will take all the beating. Finally in the last race on the card we have HYPNOTIZED running and he looks to have taken his race at Kempton where he won in good fashion well and looked good in his work when partnering WIGMORE HALL on Wednesday. HIGHLAND LEGACY had been due to run at Goodwood and we are monitoring the rain that they get as so far they have practically missed all the rain that had been forecast and so we have also declared him for Salisbury on Sunday where it looks like they are going to get a decent amount of rain. A decision as to where he will run will be made in the morning. If he goes to Salisbury he will be joined on the box by GRAMERCY who looks to have come on really well from his third at Newbury and he should give a very good account of himself here. On Sunday we have declared FAR FROM OLD at Newmarket and he is proving to be a real favourite with people here in the yard as he is so kind natured and such a gentleman. He is another who has been putting in good gallops at home and I think he will run really well. Also on the card at Newmarket we have declared SARISKA for the Dahlia Stakes. The boss is going to walk the course on Sunday morning to see if he is happy with everything and hopefully if he is she will run. She has been in absolutely fantastic form at home and looks a picture. It would be great to see her run, but she is also in the Middleton Stakes at York on the 13th May if conditions are not in her favour. Our last runner on the card is a nice two-year-old that has been working nicely at home called OLD MASTER EXPERT. He will have his work cut out in a Newmarket maiden but we think he is decent and we expect a good run from him.

WEDNESDAY 28TH APRIL

We were delighted with SUNNY GAME'S win on Monday evening at Windsor. He raced up with the pace and was settled in sixth place for the majority of the race. With two left to run he was asked to go and when hitting the front, he raced quite green but won in good fashion. He has taken the race well and hopefully we have a nice horse on our hands. Later on the card at Windsor we had CRUNCHED running and he broke from the stalls, but got shuffled back towards the rear of the field. When coming round the final bend he looked as though he would pick up but when asked the question he did not find a lot and finished mid division. Jamie felt that he would be better suited by softer ground. He has taken the race well and hopefully we will get some rain for him soon.

Yesterday we had two runners at Lingfield, the first of these being CONCEPTUAL ART. He broke from the stalls really well and we were really pleased with the way he traveled and settled during the race. He looks as though he will have needed the run and is sure to come on from the experince. It certainly looked as though it could have been a good maiden to start him of in with the first two looking like nice prospects. Later on the card it was great to see MADAME ROULIN having her first outing of the season. She traveled well throughout her race sitting in about third position. When asked to go she ran on nicely, but could not catch the winner and had to settle for second. She has shown a great liking at home for the all weather surfaces, but she is pencilled in for a run on the turf next time at Warwick and hopefully this run will have put her spot on for then.

Tonight we have two runners at Kempton where ACTIVATE would have a chance, but for a five runner field it looks a competitive contest. He has been in great form at home and hopefully he will have a productive season this year. He looks to have done really well over the winter and has matured. MAIN SPRING is our only other runner and she found the ground a bit to firm for her at Windsor last time and hopefully she will be more at home on this softer surface.

We have no runners tomorrow and Friday and then we look forward to a busy bank holiday weekend with 18 entries being made for both Saturday and Sunday.

Today the horses workd again on the water gallop. I was assured by the heathmen this morning that rain is on it way for the guineas meeting.

LOCHAN MOR, OLD MASTER EXPERT, FRECKENHAM AND BIARAAFA

LOCHAN MOR led this group and he is entered on Saturday at Doncaster but he will need rain if he is to take his chance. OLD MASTER EXPERT looks like running down here on Sunday and he again worked well with FRECKENHAM who looks a nice filly and BIARAAFA who also look promising, sitting in behind.

MAMA LULU, SWEETIE TIME, NEYTIRI AND ROSA MIDNIGHT

MAMA LULU arrived in at the end of March and has come on really well. She worked nicely in this group of fillies being joined by SWEETIE TIME who worked well and NEYTIRI and ROSA MIDNIGHT who was using the gallop for the first time.

GRAMERCY AND BURGHLEY

GRAMERCY looked in good form working with BURGHLEY and both are entered on Sunday at Salisbury. At this stage it looks as though it will be GRAMERCY running with BURGHLEY waiting for a race at Chester.

AL DAFA AND TELL HALAF

AL DAFA went nicely partnering TELL HALAF working over seven furlongs. Both have entries coming up, but will need some rain.

MONT AGEL, HYPNOTIZED AND WIGMORE HALL

MONT AGEL went nicely in this group and he was ridden by Jamie Spencer. He is pencilled in to run at Windsor in ten days time. HYPNOTIZED looks to have come on for his victory at Kempton last week and WIGMORE HALL again looked impressive in his work. He is entered on Saturday in the listed race at the guineas meeting and it looks as though he will take his chance.

LOMBOK AND FAR FROM OLD

LOMBOK again worked nicely partnering FAR FROM OLD over eight furlongs. LOMBOK has numerous entries over the weekend, but will need some rain. FAR FROM OLD is entered at Newmarket on Sunday and he has been working well at home.

BIN END

BIN END did a solo piece of work on his won and worked well over eight furlongs. He looks in great form and seemed to really enjoy himself.

MONDAY26TH APRIL

We reached the eleven winner mark when BAKONGO won on Saturday night at Wolverhampton. She traveled so well throughout her race and when asked to go she quickened up nicely and the victory did not look in any doubt. She has taken the race well and she looks as though she could develop into a nice filly. We had to settle for second in the earlier race with BABYCAKES who ran a good race, but could not just keep her head in front and was beaten by a narrow margin. She is coming on all the time and hopefully it will not be long before she gets her head in front and scores her first victory. At Leicester during the day we had PLAYGROUND running and he raced far to keen early on and then found nothing at the end of his race. Its a shame as he is such a lovely looking horse and I am not sure what the plans will be for him now.

We have a good chance at Windsor tonight with SUNNY GAME who ran so well at the track a fortnight ago. He has come on allot from the race and so we are hopeful of a good run from him this evening. Also running at the track is CRUNCHED who has also been in great form at home. It would be great to see him back to his best and hopefully he will give a good account of himself here.

Tomorrow we have two runners at Lingfield, where we introduce a nice three-year-old called CONCEPTUAL ART. He has been doing some nice pieces of work at home and so we think he will run a good race. Also running is MADAME ROULIN and she has done really well over the winter and looks to have matured into a nice filly. We are hoping she will run a good race as she seems to like the all weather surfaces.

FRIDAY 23RD APRIL

We were delighted with HYPNOTIZED'S win at Kempton on Wednesday evening. He certainly looks as though he has the makings of a nice horse and was given a fantastic ride by Jamie with the gaps opening up at the right time for him to win in convincing fashion. He has taken the race well and we think he will improve again from the run and is a decent horse.

It has been quiet the last two days as we have been without runners but we get back to the action tomorrow firstly at Leicester where PLAYGROUND runs. He was a bit of a boy last time so we are hoping he will behave much better. He traveled with our runners to Kempton and behaved much better and had a walk around the paddock. He raced very green at Windsor and we feel he has learned a lot from that run. He is a big baby, who will hopefully mature as the season goes on. On Saturday evening we have chances with BABYCAKES at Wolverhampton and BAKONGO who was third last week at Newbury. BABYCAKES ran well on her

re-appearance and has been working nicely at home. She is a nicely bred filly who hopefully will give a good account of herself here. BAKONGO ran a nice race at Newbury last week and looks to have come on from the run in her work at home. As long as the race has not come to soon then she could go close.

WEDNESDAY 21ST APRIL

We had just the one runner at Windsor on Monday evening with MAIN SPRING. She was settled towards the rear of the field and raced quite green. She made some headway through the field to finish in the middle. She is learning all the time and hopefully she will come on from this run.

On Tuesday we had just the two runners at Kempton with COLLECT ART and WILD ROSE. COLLECT ART missed the break and was pushed wide coming round the first bend. He looked as though he was going to run on but sadly his challenge did not materialize. He is such a good looking horse and certainly has ability. WILD ROSE who was giving weight away to the rest of the field ran a good race to finish third. She is a nice filly who has always been liked and she run with great credit here. She looks as though she will stay further and hopefully she will have a productive season.

Today we have a big chance at Epsom with PROMPTER as long as the ground is suitable. He has been in great form at home and we think he is a nice prospect for this season. This evening poor old Ian and Mick are heading to Kempton for the 8.20pm race with HYPNOTIZED. He is another nice colt who will hopefully give a good account of himself here and have a good season.

Today the horses worked up the peat moss.

LOCHAN MOR AND OLD MASTER EXPERT

The first group to gallop consisted of the nice two-year-old, OLD MASTER EXPERT who has been working nicely. He partnered LOCHAN MOR who could run on Monday evening at Windsor.

FRECKENHAM, ROYAL LIAISON AND BIARAAFA

Our next group was three, two-year-old fillies who are now ready to start having entries made. The Exceed and Excel Ex Farrfesheena filly is in the process, thank god of being named FRECKENHAM. She is a real sweetheart and worked well with BIARAAFA and ROYAL LIAISON who both look to be progressing in the right way.

BAKONGO AND BABYCAKES

BAKONGO looks to have taken her race at Newbury well and was in great form partnering BABYCAKES who has come on a lot from her run.

FAR FROM OLD AND LOMBOK

FAR FROM OLD is really starting to blossom as is his work partner LOMBOK. They went nicely together over nine furlongs and I am sure they are not far from the entry stage.

PLAYGROUND AND SUNNY GAME

SUNNY GAME went well on his first start and ran with a lot of credit. He has numerous entries coming up and is sure to run well when we find the right race for him. He worked with PLAYGROUND who ran in the same race at Windsor and he raced so green and misbehaved beforehand getting loose in the paddock. He had a day out at Kempton yesterday and behaved perfectly so hopefully we will see him put a much better foot forward when he next runs next. He is entered at Leicester on Saturday.

CRUNCHED AND JUICY PEAR

JUICY PEAR is entered on Saturday at Haydock and he went over seven furlongs with CRUNCHED who is entered on Monday at Windsor.

TELL HALAF, BURGHLEY AND CONCEPTUAL ART

The final group to work was CONCEPTUAL ART, TELL HALAF and BURGHLEY. TELL HALAF looks to be in great form and has come on well for his races. CONCEPTUAL ART is a nice colt by Haafhd and although still unraced he is certainly going the right way and pleasing in his work. BURGHLEY looks to be back to his best and all three went well together.

MONDAY 19TH APRIL

What a fantastic week it has been for us and it was rounded of with a winner for The Queen on Saturday when TACTICIAN went in at Newbury. He had finished behind COORDINATED CUTon his debut but failed to build on that second time out. He was always going to be a three-year-old and a trip was also going to be very much in his favour. He was given a good ride by Hayley and hung right as soon as he hit the front, but stayed on well to win his race in good fashion. He will certainly get further and hopefully is capable of winning some good races. It was especially nice to have the winner when The Queen was in attendance at the race meeting and what a thrill for Hayley. We did have two more runners at Newbury and we started off with ALLIED POWERS in the Group three John Porter. He was always going to need the run and will show much better when we have more cut in the ground. He looked absolutely fantastic in the paddock and hopefully this race will now put him spot on. Our last runner of the meeting was MOTIRANI and it was great to finally get him on the track. He ran well but showed a lot of greenness but is sure to come on from the race. He is a nice horse and will be capable of winning races when he has got the hang of things.

Today we have one runner at Windsor when MAIN SPRING takes her chance. She has been working well at home and we are hopeful that she will give a good account of herself.

OVERBOARD (BIN END'S DAM)  AND HER FOAL BY DESERT STYLE

Tomorrow we have declared COLLECT ART and WILD ROSE to run at Kempton. COLLECT ART has not really come to himself on both of his starts and has looked really green and in-experienced on both occasions. He is starting to get the hang of things and hopefully he will give a better account of himself here. WILD ROSE has her first run of this campaign and she has been working nicely at home. She was a real star last year winning two of her four starts. We are hoping for a good run from her in this five runner field as she holds and Italian Oaks entry and this will hopefully tell us where we should be heading with her.

GULL WING CAROLINE AND HER FOAL BY PIVOTAL

On Wednesday we have declared PROMPTER in the Epsom Derby Trial. He has done so well over the winter and has developed into a fine looking horse. He should hopefully take all the beating in this four runner field. In the evening we have HYPNOTIZED running at Kempton. He was a nice horse and won his maiden on his third attempt. He has done really well over the winter and hopefully he will prove to be a good horse this season.

LIHOU ISLAND (HORSERADISH'S MUM)

On Friday Caroline and I were really lucky to go to Dukes Stud in Ashley and we were very kindly shown round by the stud manager Clive Larkin. Caroline used to look after GULL WING and she was at the stud with her foal by Pivotal. She looked fantastic and really well and her foal is a real sweetie. She has been covered by Pivotal again which is really exciting.  While we were there we had the added bonus of seeing a couple of dams of horses we have here including Lihou Island who is the mother to HORSERADISH. She is in foal to Virtual and has a foal at foot by PASTORAL PURSUITS. Overboard who is the mummy of BIN END, is in foal to Champs Elysees and has a foal at foot by Desert Style and finally Because who is the mother of the Kingmambo Ex Because who we are hoping to call GANGES is in foal to Dansili and also has a foal at foot by him. We, especially Caroline had a great time and a big thank you to Clive for giving up the time to show us round this pretty and well run

stud.

BECAUSE                                             BECAUSE'S FOAL BY DANSILI

BECAUSE                                             BECAUSE'S FOAL BY DANSILI

FRIDAY 16TH APRIL

On Wednesday night I thought SOUL HEAVEN had a good chance at Kempton. He looked to be travelling well in mid division of the field and when asked to go he took a while to pick up and ran on to finish third.

Yesterday we had winner number eight when WIGMORE HALL won in awesome style at Newmarket. As I had mentioned on Wednesday, I was really impressed with the way he had been working and I thought he would run well. He was an impressive winner being settled at the rear of field early on. When asked to go he crept nicely through the field and the win never looked in any doubt. He could possibly step up to listed class next time on the evidence of this run. Earlier on the card we had MONT AGEL running and he behaved really well in the paddock but when he got down to the start he was difficult to get in the stalls and his whole behaviour seemed to change. He is much better than his finish would suggest and will probably be seen too much better effect on softer ground over a mile. At Ripon SYRIAN was again far too keen and his race was over as soon as he left the gates. He really needs to learn to settle if he is going to win races this season. STRONG VIGILANCE ran a good race on his first start from, not the best of draws. He was slowly away but is sure to improve and could be a nice horse.

Today we have seen a good run from GRAMERCY on ground that may not have been totally to his liking finish third in what looks quite a hot little contest with first and second looking really nice horses. ADMISSION was being stepped up in class and run with credit to finish third. He looks as though he will stay further as he was always running on really well inside the final furlong and did not get the clearest runs through. TITIVATION has just given us another third of the day which is four now. It was great to see her run so well and hopefully she will have learned a lot from the race and will go close next time. She will probably be better over a mile and may just want a bit more cut in the ground. Our last runner at Newbury was BAKONGO, who is a well bred filly that we like a lot. She ran a fine race just being pipped for third. She will only improve from this and could develop into a nice filly.

At Thirsk this afternoon we have seen REGENERATION finish third. He was always handy being kept in third or fourth and when Paul Hanagan asked him to go he looked to take a while to pick up. AL DAFA was disappointing but he did get warm and looked slightly bothered down at the start before the race. He was kept in the rear of the field throughout the race and he seemed to stay on passing beaten horses. He is definitely better than this and hopefully he will give a better account of himself next time.

Tomorrow we have a good chance with TACTICIAN who looks to have wintered well. He has been doing some nice work at home and we expect him to go close. ALLIED POWERS is having his first run of the season and he has always seemed to benefit from a run to put him spot on. He has been in great form and Micky Fenton is two wins out of two rides on him. MOTIRANI is a nice three year old who failed to get on the track last year due to immaturity. He seems to be fine this year and is sure to need and come on from the run.

WEDNESDAY 14TH APRIL

We were so thrilled to hit the six winner mark yesterday when HORSERADISH won at Yarmouth. He was given a good ride by Hayley Turner who had him settled nicely in behind for the first part of the race. He was racing second with a furlong left to run and ran on well to score his victory. He has taken the race well and had a nice lead out today. Our only other runner was MING MENG and sadly she was pulled up after leaving the stalls as Micky Fenton felt she went wrong. The vet checked her at the races and he could find nothing wrong with her. She seems fine today, so it is a complete mystery. Maybe something will come to light over the next couple of days. We have just seen COORDINATED CUT win the big sales race at Newmarket taking us to seven winners. He was given a great ride by Jamie Spencer who always had him in contention and when asked to go, he did get hampered by the Godolphin horse but under a strong drive by Jamie got back up to beat Godolphin’s into second. It was fantastic to see the horse win so well especially after his last run when he finished down the field in the Racing Post Trophy.

Tonight I think we have a good chance with SOUL HEAVEN. He is a very nice horse and in this eight runner field he should take all the beating. He has good form from last year and we are hopeful he is going to be a decent horse this season.

Tomorrow we have two runners at Ripon which include SYRIAN and a nice unraced three-year-old called STRONG VIGILANCE. SYRIAN won his maiden first time out at Yarmouth and then was quite keen on his re-appearance and finished fifth. He then  finished third on his last start of the season at Ascot. He has comeback in having wintered well and hopefully should take all the beating here. STRONG VIGILANCE has been working nicely at home and although not with the best draw, we expect him to run a good race. He is a nice horse and has been working well so hopefully we will have a good season with him. It would be great to give his owner Mr Lawrie Inman a double this week after COORDINATED CUT’S win. At Newmarket MONT AGEL makes his seasonal debut in the Group 3 Craven Stakes and we hope that he will run well as he holds guineas entries. He won his maiden as a two-year-old in good style at Windsor and we have always thought of him as being a nice horse. At least we will know after his race where we should be heading with him. Also at Newmarket we have WIGMORE HALL running. He has been working really well at home and did a really nice piece of work on Saturday. I hope he will handle everything beforehand calmly and he should run a big race. He did get quite wound up last year towards the end of his campaign at the races, but he seems to be a lot calmer this year and has had been taking everything really well.

On Friday we now have four runners at Newbury after withdrawing GRAMERCY from Newmarket this afternoon due to the ground. These also include Attraction’s sister TITIVATION who is running in the seven furlong, fillies maiden. She was ridden by Jamie in her work this morning and looked to be going nicely. Also running at Newbury is ADMISSION who won impressively at Yarmouth a fortnight ago. He went well under our head lad this morning up the peat moss and hopefully he will continue to progress and a race like this we hope should be in his capabilities of winning. BAKONGO is a nice filly who did not run last season. She has been moving well in her work and we expect her to give a good account of herself. At Thirsk we have good chances with REGENERATION who ran well last time, but looked as though he just needed the run. He worked well this week and looks spot on now. He will be ridden by Paul Hanagan who is on fire at present. AL DAFA also runs at Thirsk and he will be ridden by Ian Burns our apprentice. He has been riding him out at home and they have looked good together in the work they have been doing on the gallops,  so a good run is expected.

The horses worked this morning at the peat moss and we were joined by Mr Johnny Law,   and Mr Paul Morrison who are both in ROYAL LIAISON.

OLD MASTER EXPERT, EXCEED AND EXCEL EX FARRFESHEENA, ROYAL LIAISON AND GREEN DESERT EX STAR EXPRESS

She was in the first group of workers and she went nicely. The pick of the group had to be OLD MASTER EXPERT who again went really well travelling nicely and coming away from the others. He is entered at Windsor on Monday and if he runs, he should go well. Also in this group was a nice filly by EXCEED AND EXCEL EX FARRFESHEENA and a GREEN DESERT EX STAR EXPRESS and ROYAL LIAISON. It was the first time these fillies had been up the peat moss but they all went encouragingly well.

ADMISSION

ADMISSION worked on his own and looked in fantastic form.

AL DAFA AND JUICY PEAR

AL DAFA worked with JUICY PEAR and both worked well finishing nicely together. They had both been entered in the same race at Thirsk but it was AL DAFA that was declared to run.

MAIN SPRING AND BABYCAKES

BABYCAKES went nicely partnering MAIN SPRING who has been entered at Windsor on Monday. They worked over a straight seven and both fillies moved well on the ground.

ENJOYMENT AND TITIVATION

ENJOYMENT is such a sweet filly and will hopefully get a run soon. She partnered TITVATION under Jamie Spencer and both fillies looked to be in great form. TITIVATION has been declared for Friday at Newbury and ENJOYMENT is not far from the entry stage.

HIGHLAND LEGACY

HIGHLAND LEGACY looked in great form under his groom Matthew Morgan and moved well on the ground.

PROMPTER AND TACTICIAN

PROMPTER worked with TACTICIAN and both worked really well together. TACTICIAN was again ridden in his work by Hayley Turner who had ridden him last week and he will now run at Newbury on Saturday. PROMPTER is being brought to the boil and looks a nice prospect for this year.

LOMBOK AND SARISKA

SARISKA did an easy piece of work following LOMBOK back up the gallops and both look in terrific form.

SHREWD DECISION, COUNTRY FAIR AND BAKONGO

The last group to work consisted of BAKONGO who run on Friday at Newbury and she was joined in her gallop with COUNTRY FAIR and SHREWD DECISION and these two fillies look like they are heading in the right direction.

MONDAY 12TH APRIL

On Saturday the horses worked on the Summer Gallop. The weather has been absolutely glorious, so it has started drying the ground out and this meant some of the horses had to go up the Cambridge Road Polytrack.

REGENERATION AND MONT AGEL

The first group the worked consisted of MONT AGEL who worked with REGENERATION over seven furlongs. MONT AGEL who is being prepared for a possible run down here next week in the Craven Stakes went nicely under Rebecca Caudillo and he was joined by REGENERATION under John Maxse. REGENERATION is entered at Thirsk on Friday.

AL DAFA AND CONCEPTUAL ART

The second group working was AL DAFA and CONCEPTUAL ART. CONCEPTUAL ART looks like he has the making of nice horse he worked well with AL DAFA who has already had one run this season.

HYPNOTIZED AND SOUL HEAVEN

SOUL HEAVEN worked along the poly track and he worked well being joined by HYPNOTIZED. SOUL HEAVEN has been declared for Wednesday at Kempton and hopefully in this eight runner field he should go close.

MADAME ROULIN, BABYCAKES AND BAKONGO

MADAME ROULIN has shown a great liking to the poly track surface and she went well in her work being joined by BABYCAKES and BAKONGO. MADAME ROULIN is pencilled in to run later in the month and BAKONGO hold an entry at Newbury of Friday. BABYCAKES has now been given a rating after her three runs and hopefully she will be able to win races of her handicap mark

COORDINATED CUT, WIGMORE HALL AND TACTICIAN

COORDINATED CUT led his group over the nine furlongs and having worked well has been declared to run at Newmarket on Wednesday in the Tattersalls Sales race. WIGMORE HALL travelled particularly well in behind and he could also run down here on Thursday. Hayley Turner who partnered TACTICIAN in the gallops also travelled well throughout.

ALLIED POWERS AND FAR FROM OLD

ALLIED POWERS has been entered at the weekend in the Group 3 John Porter and he worked well pairing up with FAR FROM OLD who travelled sweetly throughout and when asked to go, quicken very nicely.

SUNNY GAME AND LOMBOK

The last group to work consisted of LOMBOK and SUNNY GAME who runs today at Windsor. SUNNY GAME still looks quite green but he travelled nicely in his work and went well with LOMBOK when they hit the rising ground.

Today we have runners at Folkestone and Windsor. SUNNY GAME we have already mentioned and we expect him to give a good account of himself. He takes on PLAYGROUND who is a big backward colt who did not run last season. He is improving all the time and is certainly capable of winning races. At Folkestone we have CONSIDER YOURSELF having her first run on her three-year-old campaign and she has been working nicely but could possibly need the run.

Tomorrow we have declared MING MENG at Pontefract. She is such a sweetheart and has been working nicely at home. She will win races but, she may just need the run and she will certainly benefit from some racecourse experience. At Yarmouth we see the re-appearance of HORSERADISH who was so consistent last season. He has been in good form at home and hopefully will have a very productive season this year although the field for his race tomorrow looks quite a competitive race.

On Wednesday we have declared COORDINATED CUT in the big sales race at Newmarket and also GRAMERCY and at Kempton it is great to see SOUL HEAVEN back and running and he should have a good chance.

FRIDAY 9TH APRIL

I was hoping to start my Six to Follow off, with its first ten points when TELL HALAF ran at Nottingham on Wednesday. He was settled towards the rear of the field and when asked to go, he got in all sorts of trouble and path was blocked each time he went. He ran on well to finish fifth and hopefully ten points will not be to far away.

On Thursday we had two runners at Leicester, the first of these being DR FINLEY. Always in a prominent position early on, he was unable to hold his place in the home straight and finished fourth. Later on the card LOCHAN MOR gave another gallant effort but sadly he failed to get up to win and had to settle for second place. He is tremendously consistent and he was never out of the first four last season. Hopefully he will be able to win again shortly, but sadly he is going up in the handicap all the time without actually winning. Our only other runner last night was CRUNCHED who took a keen hold. He was asked for effort with two left to run but weakened inside the final furlong. He has taken the race well and we will see how he is before making further plans.

We have no runners over the weekend but next week looks like being really busy and although I am still not sure of what may run on Monday at this stage he looks like we will have runners at both Folkestone and Windsor.

WEDNESDAY 7TH APRIL

The horses worked this morning and it was a great time to be out as SARISKA was doing her first piece of work ridden by Jamie Spencer. She looked absolutely fantastic in her being settled in behind LOMBOK and was always travelling really well on the bridle. Jamie was really happy with her as was the boss.

LOMBOK AND SARISKA

ENJOYMENT AND TITIVATION

ENJOYMENT looked to be back in good shape and she worked well partnering TITIVATION who looks as though she is starting to come to herself.

MAIN SPRING AND MADAME ROULIN

MADAME ROULIN looks really well and is starting to take shape. She was joined in her work by MAIN SPRING and both worked over the straight seven furlongs.

KHELEYF EX SANPALA, GREEN DESERT EX STAR EXPRESS AND OLD MASTER EXPERT

OLD MASTER EXPERT looked impressive in his work in this group of two-year-olds and certainly looked sharper than the other two. They are all starting to really come to themselves and hopefully it will not be to long before we have our first two-year-old runner.

PROMPTER AND TACTICIAN

PROMPER who was doing his first piece of work of the year, looked to be travelling nicely leading TACTICIAN who was ridden by Hayley Turner. Both moved well and went nicely together working over nine furlongs.

PLAYGROUND, CHURCH OF ENGLAND AND ACTIVATE

Our last group to work consisted of two in-experienced geldings PLAYGROUND and CHURCH OF ENGLAND and they were joined by ACTIVATE. The front two are still fairly green and backward but they are starting to get the message and are being prepared for a run. ACTIVATE was unlucky not to win last year and hopefully will be a nice horse for this coming season.

This afternoon we have runners at Nottingham where we should have a chance with TELL HALAF and at Kempton where RED AMY takes her chance.

Tomorrow we head to Leicester where DR FINLEY runs and also on the card we have LOCHAN MOR. Both have been in good form at home and should give a good account of themselves here. At Wolverhampton we have CRUNCHED who met a decent filly at Wolverhampton last time and hopefully that race should have put him spot on here.

TUESDAY 6TH APRIL

It has been a fairly quiet Easter Weekend for us runners wise and our only runner on Easter Sunday had travelled all the way to Scotland to take his chance. This was HIGHLAND LEGACY who was making his season debut in the Musselburgh Gold Cup. He had been off the track for five months but travelled well being kept in mid-division. He chased the leaders with one furlong left to run and looked to stay on at the one pace. He has taken the race well and returned back to us yesterday lunchtime. It looked as though he maybe better running over a longer trip and would probably be better suited by two miles, but he finished in the money which is great as it is not cheap sending a horse all the way to Scotland.

On the Bank Holiday Monday we were left with just the two runners at Yarmouth after Warwick had been abandoned. We had high hopes at Yarmouth for ADMISSION who had been shaping up into a nice horse and has been liked by many of the staff that have ridden him at home. He looked as though he would have his work cut out beating the horse of John Gosden’s but he ran really nicely. He was slowly away, but travelled really well in amongst the other horses. When asked to go he picked up in style to win impressively. He will certainly come on plenty for this debut but this performance already marks him down as potentially very decent and his pedigree entitles him to be effective over much further in time. Our only other runner was SATURN GIRL and she looked as though the race may have come a bit soon after her run at Doncaster. She was sluggish away and never really looked to get into the race. She looks fine this morning and we will give her a bit of time before finding another race for her.

Tomorrow we have declared RED AMY at Kempton and TELL HALAF at Nottingham. RED AMY looks to have wintered well and we are hoping she will show some potential this season. She looks to have strengthened over the winter and hopefully being ridden by Ryan Moore she will give a good account of herself. TELL HALAF is a fine looking horse that is still maturing and strengthening all the time. He showed some promise on his first outing of the season at Southwell and he should have come on from the run as he certainly would have needed the race as he is a horse who is still quite burly but has potential.

THURSDAY 1ST APRIL

BIN END has taken his race well and had a nice lead out today and pick of grass after his run yesterday. We had fancied him to go close, but on the evidence of the run he clearly did not stay. He will be seen to much better effect next time when dropped back in distance and the race should now put him spot on.

BIARAAFA

I am not sure what the runners are likely to be over the Easter period but HIGHLAND LEGACY could head to Musselburgh on Sunday for Musselburgh Gold Cup. He has been in great form at home and hopefully on ground he will like, her should give a good account of himself.

KHELEYF EX SANPALA

On Monday we possibly have two runners when CONSIDER YOURSELF looks like running at Warwick. She is a nice filly and hopefully she will have a good productive year this season. She has wintered well and looks to have matured both mentally and physically over the winter. ADMISSION was kept of the track last year and he could make his debut at Yarmouth. He has been doing some nice pieces of work at home and looks as though he could be a really nice horse this year.

COMPASSION

We have today made entries for next week with RED AMY at Kempton and TELL HALAF at Nottingham. RED AMY is another who looks to have wintered well and hopefully she will be able to progress this year. TELL HALAF has now been given a rating of 65 which we hope is fair. He is a big horse who still looks quite backwards, but he is learning all the time and trimming up as he is quite a burly horse. We hope that he will continue to progress and can win a race or two of this rating.
